More than meets the eye...

I wasn't in class so I missed out on the true essence of the assignment. (Darn my sinuses.) I read the assignment and immediately thought about optical illusions. Any way check out the crazy image. It looks innocent enough, but wait until you turn the picture rightside up. Maybe it's onions, but probably not.

The image to the right looks pretty regular.

The second image is the real image rightside up.

Hmmm Class 3

I've read other people's reponses to class 3 and it looks like I missed a great session. I unfortunately was sick with a serious sinus infection. I'm feeling a lot better. It sucks that I had to miss class though. Now I have to figure out the assignment on my own and not without any weird inspiration from class, which I enjoy. Oh fooey, I wish I could have been there.

AHHH! ...phew it's just pizza.

Last week's class was crazy and inspiring. As soon as we were given our assignment, I immediately got an idea. I was inspired by the darkness, the overall theme of fear, and of course the pizza. Inspired by all of that, I decided to create an image. It consist of an extremely obese man eating some pizza. The overall tone of the picture is dark and ominous. Hopefully the pic will be done by tomorrow. Until then I will keep you posted. lol...get it... posted. :) Yeah, I know, real corny.

The sky, the darkness and pizza

Class yesterday was...um... unique. I thought it was funny how we spent so much time defining what it meant to be "in the box" and I grabbed the part of the pizza box that said:
"What goes in this box represents everything in our whole company." Well that sucks for them. Hope I don't get defined by what's in my box. Just some food for thought. :)

Sky's the limit

I've created atleast 3 different images over the past two weeks in an attempt to interpret my experience in the 1st day of seeing sideways. After a lot of "ctrl z's", I settled with this image. It seems to capture what I was seeing and feeling that day. The vibrant rays against the dark background was basically what I saw when I stared at the sun for way too long. After resting and watching the clouds float by, my mind began to wander and I began to reflect on all the interesting topics that were brought up in class. The wandering is represented by the rays of light gently flowing to the right of the image. From one day in seeing sideways, I realized that this class would really help me be creative. This is represented by the light hints of blue shimmer that gracefully wrap around the rays of thoughts. Overall I'm pretty happy with this image and it gets my point across, yet I do feel that it is a bit typical.
